Zynga, known for its incredibly popular games on Facebook continues the trend with its pet simulator game PetVille. It could be described as a tamagotchi app - only this time the player can create the pet with endless customisation. It doesn't end here, PetVille features over a thousand items for both your pet and the house it lives in, from furniture to clothing, from tools to snacks.

So, where should I get started? It isn't exaggerated to say that if I would have to describe every function of the game this review would be over five-thousand words. Instead, I'm gonna try to grab the main vibe and gameplay of the game to make you familiar with its concept. Let's start with the pet creation.

The game kicks off with a killer customisation screen for your pet. An already cute animal-like creature moves smoothly with its arms. Immediately, the liveliness and the gorgeous 3D, flash-like structure of the graphics grabs the attention of the eyes. You now get to decide how your pet looks. This ranges from eyes, brows, ears, color and even patterns on your face. Seriously, you could waste a lot of time on this screen.

These customisation options vary from cute to angry, ugly to beautiful. This means you can basically create a pet that is completely your taste. After you're done creating your pet, it's off to your house. And here is where it really gets interesting. After a brief tutorial, which exists of soaping your pet for coins and putting on some clothes, it's up to you what to do next. You can play around with your pet for a bit or head out to the shops. Here you can purchase furniture, hardware, tools, toys, food and clothing for your pet and the updates keep on rolling in.

Next to shopping the game has mini-games for you to enjoy, a great social system where you share items and adventures with friends and a multi-room system, where you can purchase extra rooms and even a garden to process items at certain levels. When it comes to the flaws of PetVille, I'd have to say it's laggy. The game can get quite heavy in your browser and doesn't contain full-screen support (which is a major flaw if you ask me.). If you can look past the lag at moments, however, PetVille is an app that you can spend years on and still find new things every day. Don't let the flaws discourage you, this app is truly an amazing pet game. And it's all for free!
