"Stardash offers a great platform gameplay experience and lots of secrets."
When it comes to
smartphone gaming, most of the times the touch and play method of gaming offers
exclusively innovative and new types of gaming. Some of the gamers (like me)
really like the old-school way of gaming just as much. Especially platforming
apps make me really happy. If you like simple, straightforward platform games,
you really need to play Stardash.
Stardash offers lots of content and the app comes in two versions. The paid version solely removes adds, while the free version shows a few adds when selecting levels. Stardash is designed in monochrome, retro levels that reminded me a lot of the old-school Super Mario. Touch buttons for directions left and right are added in the screen, and a jump button is found on the right of the screen. This game is a platformer, you play side-scrolling levels and try to make it to the end. The end always has a secret or hard to access way that will result in higher points. In each level, there are three stars to collect. One for collecting every single coin, one for reaching the finish before the timer runs out and the flip mode - where you play the exact same level only mirrored.

Seriously, Star Dash is one of the most fun retro apps the market has to offer up to this day. The controls are very accurate and swift, but jumping on monsters to kill them can be a little tricky. The game features lots of different worlds, each with its own theme. One thing I also liked about the game is that it's frickin' hard. You will find yourself frustrated with some of the later levels - But this all with good vibe. If you like platformers you simply MUST try this one out. It won't leave you disappointed.
