Welcome to Timechaos, a fun, action-packed retro app for both Android and Apple systems. In Timechaos you take on the role of a special agent who has the objective to infiltrate a secret base. You'll be playing short but fun stages that link to one another by quick little dialogues and texts to progress the story. Retro games don't get much better than this - Fun, quick, filled with action and explosions and last but not least: Incredibly hard.

I'm going to be straightforward with you here, if you're not an experienced gamer Timechaos probably isn't the game for you. Even though the beginning stage might seem like a breeze, nothing is less true when it comes to the other levels of the game. It took me quite a while to get through this one and I've been gaming since I was a baby. In Timechaos the only thing you'll have to worry about is dodging enemy attacks, which vary from normal soldiers who will smack you in the face to gigantic tanks and other cyborg monsters whom never have a second to spare when it comes to killing you.

The game has two methods for you to control your character - The first one is the tilt-option, in which you control your character left and right by tilting your phone. Jumping can be done by tapping the screen. The other one (the one I prefer) is the touch-buttons, where you can walk left and right with corresponding buttons and jump with another button. Shooting and attacking enemies is done automatically, you will be dodging bullets and turning to sides to quickly take out the enemies coming from both sides of the screen. They'll drop valuable items like health-kits, grenades and ammo for your gun. This is one of the most crucial aspects of the game - If you want to survive past the first screens, you better start picking up those kits!

I really had a blast with Timechaos, although after dying the tenth time you will get the nudge to throw your phone out of the window. Just take it easy, sit back and if you stop enjoying the game come back later to try again. Timechaos is really worth the time and effort, even though the game might not be too visually impressive it knows how to set the right mood. The retro graphics might be attractive to other people, like me. If you're into retro apps and are looking for a challenge, go with Timechaos!
