I remember one particular game from my childhood which had to do everything with zoos - Zoo Tycoon! If you've played this game and are/were a big fan of the game series, you will definitely enjoy this fairly new app playable on Facebook. The game is a re polished version of the previous game from the developers called Zoo World. While the gameplay experience might not be all too different, Zoo World 2 is still a completely new game with better animations, graphics, full-screen support and more features for you to enjoy.
In Zoo World 2 you start out with a big plot of land, a few exhibits with animals already planted on it. It's your job as zoo-keeper to manage your animals and zoo and attract as many visitors as possible. The game is played from an isometric perspective, like most simulation apps. You'll be using the mouse to browse through the shop, where animals can be bought as well as decorations, facilities for your zoo and styles of land. These conclude seasonal themes like snow and warm grassy lands as well.
Even though its a great deal of fun to build your own zoo from scratch, I would have loved to see a little more life in the animals. They just stand and blink their eyes or move their arms but they never seem to move through the exhibit you build. You can even put polar bears and other dangerous animals outside exhibits with no consequences at all.
Really, the variety in decorations and possibilities to design your farm are endless, with beautiful and exotic trees and different flora and fauna of the like. It's just too bad the game feels a little stiff. Don't let this discourage you to play the game, though. Zoo World 2 offers a great quest system with gullible rewards, quizzes for you to play and even events with give-away animals that most of the time are very special. You won't meet just the stereotype zoo animals, this game even has mystical creatures like unicorns and werewolves! If you like zoo games, you can't miss out with Zoo World 2. Have fun!
